The Prairie View Neighbourhood is a family-orientated residential area situated on the City limits in the central northwest sector of the City between Ring Road on the north and the CN railyards to the south. It is a westward extension of development from Normanview West.
The principle objective of the RMRCA is to provide recreation programs, community services, events and input into civic affairs for the collective benefit of the residents of the Rosemont Mount Royal Community. Sports/fitness, arts/crafts and general interest programs for all age groups & family socials.
The community of Sherwood/McCarthy is made up of two smaller areas: Sherwood Estates and McCarthy Park. It is located between 9th Avenue North and Rochdale Boulevard (south/north boundaries)and between McCarthy Boulevard and Courtney Street (east/west boundaries). The Sherwood Estates McCarthy Park Community Association offers a variety of programs for pre-schoolers, children, and adults.
