Don't think Exercise. Don't think Fitness. Think Movement. Our focus at Flux is MOVEMENT and more specifically, MOVEMENT QUALITY. We offer classes for kids to adults.
Our mandate at Flux is to help people to become better movers. Through education and coaching, we cultivate a unique understanding, exploration and demonstration of physical culture. Flux offers many streams of movement: CrossFit, Olympic Weightlifting, power lifting, capoeira, Parkour and acrobatics, gymnastics, bouldering, and our mobility program.
**NEW** BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Our after school program is rooted in a movement based philosophy and practice. We offer a community oriented and playful environment for kids to explore and create through movement.
We are now accepting registration for the 2018-2019 Before and After School Program. Everyone is welcome!

NEW CLASS - HUMAN ALIVENESS PROGRAM
Human Aliveness Program begins with the simple invitation to examine your physicality as a source of inspiration, contemplation and curiosity. Human Aliveness is a program that enables you to create a physical practice that makes sense for you. Who should take part? Did you know Flux School of Human Movement hosts day camps during school breaks, PD days and summer holidays. Fun filled weeks for kids and teens ages 5 and up. Learn acrobatics, parkour, gymnastics, practice hand balancing and play with capoeira movements.

Each summer Flux offers daycamps for kids ages 5-10. We also host Parkour camps for ages 8+. Half or full days are available. Check back for 2019 information!
Our new 10,000+ sq ft building features a mini indoor bouldering structure. It is currently set up for use by our students only, but we will soon have open hours for everyone to come explore and play. What is Parkour, you ask? Parkour is the activity or sport of moving rapidly through an area, typically in an urban environment, negotiating obstacles by running, jumping, and climbing.

In our Flux Kids program we combine elements from parkour (vaulting, swinging, jumping) gymnastics (push up, pull up, muscle ups, planches, handbalancing, rope climbing), movement and mobility (floreio, agility work, bridges), Olympic Weightlifting (snatch, clean and jerk, squat), strong wo/man movements (turkish get ups, tire flips, sled pull/push) and acrobatics (rolls, cartwheels, walkovers, helicopters). Our Flux Kids become more aware of their bodies, gain confidence, and increase self-esteem, while learning the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle. We teach these young athletes about the bones and muscles of the human body, and healthy ways to fuel and care for our bodies.
FLUX TEENS (Ages 12 and up, although some kids begin to transition into the teen program before 12 years old)
The goal of the Flux School of Human Movement Teen Program is to introduce young people to our unique and innovative physical culture. Gymnastics, Olympic weightlifting, acrobatics, mobility, capoeira and parkour form the foundation of our teen program, and for good reason. Developmental work in these areas, especially when started at a young age, will offer a return for years down the road.
CAPOEIRA (Ages 8 AND UP)
The Flux School of Human Movement capoeira club operates as a satellite school ofCapoeira Los Angeles under Mestre Parafina. In this introductory course you will learn basic kicks, escapes, and acrobatics.
OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING (Junior & Adult)
The Flux mandate is to deliver a competitive Weightlifting program with the primary objectives of developing and supporting elite athletes of all ages in Saskatchewan. We start working with our athletes at a young age. Our youth learn the basic fundamentals of gymnastics and acrobatics prior to training with a barbell. This means they come to the sport of Weightlifting with agility, and unparalleled mobility and body awareness.
Contrary to the general lay person's opinion, weightlifting is not only safe, but extremely beneficial to youth. Weightlifting, just like any other sport, is appropriate for all ages and all abilities, when coached properly and responsibly.

In 2015, Flux Community Inc. was established as a registered not-for-profit, non-denominational, non-political organization to support the local community, particularly youth and families in Regina, by providing subsidized education and coaching with a focus on improving movement and nutrition.
