Regina has a number of quality Nordic (cross-country) ski trails located throughout the city including: Saskatchewan Science Centre, Douglas Park, Kinsmen Park South, and the Douglas Park Foothills. All trails are groomed regularly for both classic and skate-skiing by the Regina Ski Club in cooperation with Wascana Centre Authority and the City of Regina. The White Butte Recreation Site, 20 minutes east of Regina, features 15 km of regularly groomed trails through gently rolling, treed terrain. Amenities include a parking lot, warm-up hut and outdoor toilets. There are also 1.5 km of specially designated trails and separate parking lot for pets and walkers.
