2018 SPRING RECREATIONAL CLASSES - EARLY APRIL TO LATE JUNE
We are still accepting registrations for our spring sessions!
Queen City Gymnastics has been an active non-profit in Regina for over 30 years and has a long tradition of gymnastics excellence in both competitive and recreational gymnastics.
At Queen City Gymnastics, we have NCCP trained and certified coaches at your disposal. Our coaches regularly participate in workshops and development sessions to ensure they are following industry best practices in terms of spotting and athlete safety.
Preschool Age - All of our pre-school classes take place in our recreational gym. This space is fully fenced and features "just for kids" equipment that is tailored to our smallest athletes. It is completely separate from our competitive facilities to ensure everyone's safety. Our recreational area is fully viewable from our bleachers. We have a play area to keep siblings and waiting children busy and occupied. Each pre-school athlete will receive a report card at the end of a session so parents are able to see the progression. It will include notes from the coach and a recommendation for placement in the next session.
Programs Offered for Preschool Age:
CANGYM - The recreational programs at QCG are centered around the CanGym program. CanGym is an age and skill dependent series of classes from beginner to advanced. The classes focus on fundamental movement patterns including landings, locomotions, stationary positions, rotations, springs and swings. These are natural progressions into our competitive programs and Women's and Men's Artistic Gymnastics.
SPECIALTY CLASSES - QCG offers a number of specialized classes such as Trampoline and Gym Trix Acro Classes.
**We also offer adaptive gymnastics and adult classes. View our registration page for details under 'Specialty' classes.
Queen City Gymnastics is home to close to 100 competitive / pre-competitive athletes ranging from 6 years old to 18 years old. Athletes take part in the Womens Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) program as well as Mens Artistic Gymnastics (MAG). They work towards attending Provincial, National Championships, and multi-sport events including Canada Winter Games.
The Competitive stream is by invitation only, however athletes are able to “try-out” for the competitive program. Athletes will learn discipline, hard work ethic, respect, strength, flexibility, strong emotional control, and technical ability.
Feel free to contact us if you would like additional information regarding the competitive program.
