BABYSITTER/HOME ALONE COURSE
Please note: Online registration is not available for these courses, you must call the office! View the DOWNLOADS tab above to find a 10% off coupon, but you must mention OSKS when registering.
ACT OR FICTION: "I don't need training to take care of kids, it's an easy job" The answer is FICTION. There are many things that can happen while taking care of a child.
This course is recommended for children age 11 and older who are interested in taking responsibility for younger children. Courses included Basic First Aid and CPR training, child care basics, safety practices and activities to keep chidren occupied.

The Home Alone Course specializes in helping children identify what responsibilities they have while being home alone, understanding the basics of First Aid procedures and demonstrate what to do in case of an emergency, plus how and when to call 911. A class designed to provide children ages 10-14 years with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time.

Did you know that first aid skills and knowledge specific to cats and dogs exist and can save your pet’s life in case of illness or injury? PERSONAL CARE WORKER
The Personal Care Worker (PCW) Course is useful to anyone who has to provide support for elderly or infirm residents. There is not prerequisite for the course, althought, first aid trainig is recommended. See the 'DOWNLOADS' tab above for details.
BOATING SAFETY/PLEASURE CRAFT OPERATOR CARD (PCOC)
We are an authorized test centre for receiving your Transport Canada Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC). St. John Ambulance is pleased to partner with freecourse.ca to keep you safe on the waters. Simply study the course online at www.freecourse.ca and write the test at your local testing centre. Please contact your local SJA office for more information.
