Government Licensed Child Care Homes
Per Early Learning and Childcare (http://www.education.gov.sk.ca/Child-Care-Listings), please note:
All family childcare homes, licensed or unlicensed, are permitted to care for up to 8 children including the provider's own children under 13 years of age.
- Up to 5 of the 8 children may be infants, toddlers, and preschoolers; and
- Only 2 of the 5 children may be infants or toddlers (under 30 months); or
- There can be 3 infants or toddlers if all the other children are school aged.
Group Family Childcare Homes must be licensed by Early Learning and Child Care and are permitted, with an assistant, to care for up to 12 children including the provider's own children under 13 years of age.
