PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Kumon is the world's largest after-school math and reading skill development program with more than 4 million students world-wide. Kumon study unlocks the potential of children so they can aquire essential math calculation and reading comprehension skills.
The program consists of daily skill sets assigned for home and center study.
Students ages 6 years and up visit the center once a week for appoximately 25-30 minutes. Students ages 3 1/2 - 5 yrs. are encouraged to come twice a week for their skill development. They usually spend 15-20 minutes/visit at the center.
Kumon helps students of all ages and abilities build the skills necessary to have a richer, more successful experience in school and beyond.
Kumon Reading helps to establish a passion for reading and writing early on. By starting with basic phonics and working all the way up through advanced comprehension, Kumon Reading helps students interpret information, expand their vocabularies and enhance reading, writing and overall understanding of a variety of texts. Kumon Reading instills the skills children need to succeed throughout their academic schooling and beyond.
Kumon Math is a comprehensive program that develops the necessary skills to help learners progress from counting through calculus. Our math program helps students develop mental calculation and reasoning skills. It also improves their problem-solving techniques. These are the basic skills children need to succeed not only at their current math level, but at higher levels as well.
EARLY LEARNER PROGRAM:
Early Learner Kumon is a great way to give younger children, ages 3 1/2 to 5 years, a great start to their education by helping them build the fundamental skills necessary to succeed throughout their academic careers. Our individualized and interactive learning techniques give our Early Learner students a solid foundation for becoming avid learners and successful students. Even at a young age junior students begin to develop their own self-confidence and a passion for learning.
ADVANCED HONOR ROLL:
The Advanced Student Honor Roll recognizes Kumon Students working ahead of their school grade level. Ambitious students remain in the program in order to stay above their grade level. These students study more challenging material than they are receiving at school in pursuit of their academic aspirations.
Designed to make learning exciting and engaging, the Cosmic Club allows students to collect points that may be redeemed for prizes based on their progress in the program.
