SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Prairie Sky School educates children holistically through Art, Community, and Nature. Our summer
camps offer exceptional summer programming and childcare. Weeks are planned according to a theme
that encompasses the activities. Each day includes arts, music, games, outdoor excursions, science
experiments, and sports. Every week ends with a Party Day that includes dressup, pizza, games, crafts,

TAPROOTS PROGRAM FOR GRADES 7 AND 8

PRAIRIE SKY SCHOOL is a qualified independent school (QIS) in Regina, Saskatchewan. Our K-8 program provides students with a unique, active, and creative environment that encourages a love of learning.  We also offer a Before & After School program.  Prairie Sky School aims to:

• Provide a non-religious alternative to mainstream elementary school education
• Create a healthy community that fosters children’s freedom to learn
• Nurture children holistically through nature and the arts.

Kindergarten

Our Kindergarten program runs only in the mornings.  A gentle introduction to schooling, honouring this significant transition in a child’s life. Nature is an integral part of the learning environment, from extensive of outdoor play and exploration to bringing nature into the classroom.

Grades 1-8

We create an environment where children learn through, about, and in nature and art. Students spend a significant amount of time outdoors and in the community, and have access to performance and visual art modes of expression in nearly all of their experiences. We use a multi-aged approach, sometimes dividing into smaller age or interest groups for grade-level academic instruction or project work.

Tuition

As a qualified independent school, Prairie Sky School receives partial funding from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education. Qualified independent schools receive 50% of the per child rate of a regular public school. Tuition fees cover the balance of costs to run our programs. CLICK HERE for complete details on tuition and fees.  Prairie Sky School offers a tuition assistance program.  The purpose of our tuition assistance program is to ensure Prairie Sky School remains accessible for families of all income levels. Families must apply for tuition assistance to be considered, with applications evaluated based on household income level, number of applications, and the capacity of the school budget.
